Anthroposophic Medicine

Anthroposophical medicine adds a broader dimension to modern medical practice, which tends to be limited by its view of illness as a collection of physical symptoms.

Conventional treatment is based on using powerful drugs to try to alleviate these symptoms, or surgery to remove offending tissue.  Yet to bring about complete healing it is necessary to understand what brings physical matter to life and imbues it with thoughts and feelings.

Anthroposophical doctors gain this extended picture of the human condition through further training aimed primarily at stimulating the natural healing process in the patient.

As anthroposophical doctors are also qualified in conventional medicine, they are able to combine the rigour of modern practice with the gentle healing of natural remedies and art therapies.

In this way, they offer a thorough clinical approach in areas where conventional medicine has difficulty meeting the full needs of patients.
